Delete your account
You can ask IAM Local 639 to delete your 639 Connect account at any time. Here is how, and what happens to your information.
Last updated October 2026 · Applies to 639 Connect version 1.0.2
How to request deletion
Write to iamunionapp@gmail.com from the email address on your account, with the subject Delete my account. Include your name so the Local can find your record.
Requests are handled by the Local’s office during normal office hours. You will get confirmation by email once it is done.
What gets deleted
- Your name, email address and phone number
- Your password
- Your profile photo
- Your notification settings and push registration
- Your saved contacts and notification history
What is kept, and why
Records of ballots you have cast are part of the Local’s record of that vote, and are kept with it. Deleting your account does not remove your vote from a completed ballot, in the same way that withdrawing from the Local would not remove a vote already counted at a meeting.
The Local may also keep information where its bylaws or the law require it to. If you want to know exactly what would remain in your case, ask when you write in.
What happens to your access
Once your account is deleted you will no longer be able to sign in, and you will stop receiving notifications. Contracts you have already downloaded stay on your own phone until you delete them yourself.
If you are still a member and want to come back later, the Local can issue you a new account the same way as the first time — see Support.
Deleting the app is not the same thing
Removing 639 Connect from your phone stops the notifications but does not delete your account. To have the record removed, write in as above.
