These terms apply when you use 639 Connect. By signing in, you agree to them.

Who the app is for

639 Connect is provided by IAM Local 639 for its members. Accounts are issued by the Local — there is no public sign-up. If you are no longer a member, the Local may close your account.

Your account

Your account is yours alone. Keep your password to yourself, and do not let anyone else sign in as you — union business, including votes, is conducted through it. If you think someone else has access to your account, tell the Local at iamunionapp@gmail.com straight away.

Voting

Ballots cast in the app are recorded against your member record, and you can only vote once on a question. Voting on behalf of another member is not permitted and may be treated as a matter for the Local. The result of any ballot is governed by the Local’s own bylaws and constitution, not by this app.

Documents in the app

Contracts, benefits information and notices in the app are published by the Local for its members. They are provided for your reference. Where a document in the app differs from the Local’s own signed and filed records, the Local’s records govern.

Documents you download remain subject to whatever restrictions the Local places on them. Please do not republish them outside the membership without asking first.

Using the app properly

  • Do not attempt to access another member’s account or information.
  • Do not attempt to interfere with, overload, or reverse-engineer the app or its servers.
  • Do not use the app for anything unlawful.

The Local may suspend access where these terms are broken.

Availability

The app needs an internet connection, and the Local cannot guarantee it will be available at all times. Notices in the app are not a substitute for the Local’s official communications, and you should not rely on the app alone for a deadline that matters to you.

Changes

The Local may update the app and these terms. Where a change affects you, a notice will be posted in the app. The date at the top of this page shows when these terms were last revised.
